This is an excellent arrangement of music from the 1998 movie, The Mask of Zorro. Not available for purchase in the United States however can be purchased from the Molenaar Edition publisher in Amsterdam. My recording does not really do it justice as the orchestration is bold and thick, especially in the low brass which is awesome to hear live. A fun piece for the trumpet that gives you the opportunity to sing on the lyrical sections and finish big with the full band at the end. It also has a fun Spanish style solo in the middle that is probably the trickiest part. I only ran this one a couple of times but on this run there are more intonation issue than I would have otherwise liked and towards the end of the piece I chipped a couple of notes which distracted me enough to miss an entrance right after. Being distracted by thinking of the mistake you just made tends to snowball into other mistakes. At some point I may rerecord this for a better take.
